At the beginning of December this year, officers from Bogatynia received information about illegal tree felling. The tree was reportedly being cut down in one of the localities in Bogatynia Municipality.
At the scene, police officers and municipal guards found a felled tree prepared for removal, worth more than PLN 1,500. They also detained a 51-year-old man who had cut it down.
The stolen property was returned to its owner, while the suspect was taken into police custody. He faces up to five years in prison.
