A 65-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who had a stall at the market, in addition to selling legal goods, also had... tobacco without Polish excise tax markings on offer.
At the stall itself, police officers found 12 sacks of illegal tobacco, and another 12 sacks in the car. In total, more than 5 kg of tobacco was secured. The losses the State Treasury could have suffered amount to nearly PLN 4,000.
The 65-year-old faces up to 3 years in prison, as well as financial penalties.
