Karpacz police officers identified and arrested a 39-year-old resident of the town suspected of a series of crimes. He has at least ten crimes on his record: theft, burglary, violation of a court order and criminal threats.
The man, under the pretext of looking for work, took advantage of the owners' inattention and stole a coffee machine and spare car keys from an unlocked room. He then used them to steal a VW Golf worth PLN 40,000. The man drove it in violation of a court order.
Several days later, he came to the victim and stated that if the man paid him PLN 1,000, he would find his car for him. When the man refused, the 39-year-old began threatening to burn down the company. The victim notified the police about the incident. The Karpacz resident was arrested several minutes later.
During the investigation, officers established that he was also responsible for stealing two external surveillance cameras and burglarizing an office, from which he took alcohol, power tools and a decoder.
The 39-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison.
