Officers received information that the 22-year-old might have drugs at home. The man was also suspected of breaking into cellars in Jelenia Góra.
When police officers knocked on his apartment door, the man did not want to let them in. As it later turned out, the reason was the drugs and items from cellar break-ins. In addition, the 22-year-old had professionally prepared facilities and equipment for growing cannabis at home.
In his apartment, police secured marijuana from which more than 2,000 retail doses could be obtained. During the operation, officers determined that the detainee had been dealing drugs.
Furthermore, the man is suspected of a series of burglaries involving cellar break-ins, which he committed in Jelenia Góra from July to November this year. Officers also secured various items from the break-ins in his apartment. The victims’ losses amount to several tens of thousands of zlotys.
The 22-year-old was taken into police custody. Police are currently investigating all the circumstances of the case in detail. The Jelenia Góra resident has been placed under police supervision and banned from leaving the country. He also had to pay bail.
He could now face up to 10 years in prison.
