During the last session of the Youth City Council (November 18), the Council’s logo was presented. It was selected through a competition. The author of the chosen design is Estera Sadaj. The prize (HiFi headphones) was presented to the author of the winning logo by Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz.

“We did not censor anything. The young people made the choice. I think this hand is a symbol of an ‘invisible hand’ that helps people. I am not trying to assess it aesthetically,” said Kornel Filipowicz, the deputy mayor.

The Youth City Council logo will appear on all informational materials and projects carried out by the Youth City Council.

In our opinion, the logo is weak. The words “Youth City Council” are illegible. The letters in the word “Bolesławiec” have been bent incorrectly, deforming the font. The composition is poor. When printed in a single color, the logo will become completely illegible. It is unclear what the handprint is supposed to mean. If it is meant to refer to the “invisible hand” popular in the 1970s, the idea is completely incomprehensible to young people.
