Dear Sir or Madam, Dear Young People!
We do not hide the fact that the protests are being talked about everywhere. The councillors of the Bolesławiec Youth City Council decided to speak on this subject. We have always tried to remain as apolitical as possible, seeking to unite young people as a whole, beyond any divisions. Unfortunately, politics has been discussed extensively recently, which means that we must also deal with it.
We held a vote in which 15 councillors voted in favour of taking the above-mentioned position. Young people usually learn from their elders, their authorities and their behaviour; however, the decision of Julia Przyłębska’s Constitutional Tribunal is highly irresponsible and too hasty.
Local politicians have also expressed their support for the protesters’ cause in recent days. Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and one of the leaders of Bezpartyjni Samorządowcy, addressed the matter on his page on one of the social media platforms. As he noted, the law should serve citizens, and a law that violates human dignity is bad law and should be changed.
The Constitutional Tribunal’s ruling on abortion sparked a wave of public outrage. Thousands of women and men across the country took to the streets to express their dissatisfaction.
We, the Bolesławiec Youth, support you in these actions and emphasise that we are living during the COVID-19 epidemic. Take care of yourselves as you seek to regain your rights and opportunities.
