The new resuscitation ambulance has been at the disposal of the Bolesławiec ambulance service for several days. Together with medical equipment, including a pulse oximeter and defibrillator, it cost approximately PLN 250,000. The money for the ambulance came from a grant provided by the voivode. "The ambulance service will soon receive another new emergency vehicle. The money was provided by the district authorities and five rural municipalities," says Cezary Przybylski, Bolesławiec district governor.

"Until now, the ambulance service had four ambulances, two of which will soon be withdrawn. This difficult situation will now improve, and in the new year we want to apply for EU funding to purchase two more ambulances," says Mariusz Oliwa, head of the Crisis Management Department of the District Office.

The ambulance station contracted four ambulances with the National Health Fund. The Fund could terminate the contract if the hospital management and district authorities did not make an effort to obtain new equipment. The new ambulances will become part of the Hospital Emergency Department, which is currently being built on the hospital grounds on Jeleniogórska Street.
