Summary of the “Bolesławiec in Bloom” Competition

The competition is held in five categories: the most beautifully flower-decorated window, the most beautifully flower-decorated balcony, the most beautifully flower-decorated garden in a multi-family residential development, the most beautifully flower-decorated garden at public-use facilities, and the most beautifully flower-decorated allotment garden in the Bolesławiec area. The competition is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Bolesławiec and the Bolesławiec Enthusiasts’ Society. Competition among the participants lasts from May to September. The competition includes flower-decorated windows, balconies and gardens submitted by residents, as well as places selected by the competition committee as worthy of notice and recognition.

The total prize pool is PLN 10,000. The funds come from the city budget. The prizes are vouchers. In addition, all competition participants received a DVD with photographs from the “Bolesławiec in Bloom” competition and certificates from the Mayor of Bolesławiec and the Bolesławiec Enthusiasts’ Society.
