  • Workshops for women who want to grow as wives and mothers will begin at our Counseling Center in January. This will be a series of monthly meetings lasting approximately two hours, covering topics including relationships with one’s husband; supporting one another in fulfilling the roles of wife and mother; sharing experiences, ideas and examples of solutions to household situations; and seeking solutions in Scripture. Each meeting will be based on personal reading of one book, one every approximately two months (available to borrow from the Counseling Center during its duty hours).
The information gathered from the books will encourage participants to discuss, share their experiences and work on themselves as women, wives and mothers. The workshops will be led by psychologist Kasia Fedorczak. Participation in the activities and borrowing the books are free of charge. Meeting dates and detailed information will soon be available on the institution’s website and by phone and email to the Counseling Center.

In the Diocese of Legnica, from November 15 to 21, Natural Family Planning Week will be held under the slogan “May fertility be a sign, place and language of love.” These events aim to popularize natural methods of fertility awareness among young people, engaged couples, married couples and everyone who wants to know more about the subject. The idea was adopted from the United States, where, influenced by the recent encyclical “Laudato si’,” a week dedicated to natural family planning as a lifestyle consistent with human ecology was proclaimed.

As part of the Week, meetings and personal testimonies for middle- and high-school students on natural fertility awareness, lectures for adults—especially engaged and married couples—and workshops for people who want to use natural fertility awareness in their marriage will be held in various locations throughout the diocese. Married couples experiencing difficulty conceiving are also invited to the meetings.
