As part of the workshop programme, participants spend approximately 90 minutes touring the laboratory, learning about 3D design software, all our technologies and printer operation. As a surprise, they can also discover the secrets of augmented reality or try controlling mini-drones. The sessions conclude with an interactive quiz that reinforces the knowledge gained during the meeting. Each participant also receives a commemorative print. The workshop costs PLN 40 per person; accompanying adults participate free of charge.

Education, innovation and regional support

The main aim of the workshops is to invite young people into the fascinating world of new technologies, from an introduction to the principles of 3D printing to practical skills in operating devices and software. The organisers stress that the goal is not only to impart technical knowledge, but also to develop creativity, design skills and technological awareness.

The workshops take place at the DC3D headquarters at 2 Tyniecka Street in Wrocław. The organisers provide free parking and convenient access by public transport (bus line 125, Tyniecka Pętla stop).

Dolnośląskie Centrum Druku 3D operates as part of Dolnośląski Park Innowacji i Nauki (DPIN S.A.), whose objectives include supporting technological education and promoting modern technologies in the region.

“We invite children and schools from across Lower Silesia to visit our centre. We want young people to see at close quarters what working with modern technologies looks like in practice and what opportunities 3D printing offers. Direct contact with innovative solutions makes it easier to understand their potential and applications in many areas of life. We believe that such experiences can inspire young people to develop their passions and take an interest in the world of new technologies,” says Maria Roczek, Director of the Lower Silesian 3D Printing Centre.

This initiative, covering the entire region, is particularly important in the context of access to technology centres: schools in smaller towns often do not have access to such educational programmes. Workshops at DC3D can provide an attractive form of educational trip that combines learning with practice and stimulates interest in technical subjects.

How can you register a class?

To take part in the workshops, a date must be reserved in advance by contacting the centre by email (druk3d@dpin.pl) or telephone (+48 508 256 535).

The minimum group size is 15 people. The sessions are flexible and adapted to the participants’ age and abilities. For many classes, this is a unique opportunity to break away from traditional lessons and engage students in modern, practical education.

To stay up to date with the current workshop programme, events and news from the world of 3D technology, it is worth following the official website at www.dc3d.pl and DC3D’s social media profiles. The centre is active on Facebook, where it regularly publishes reports from sessions, inspiring participant projects and information about new educational initiatives.
