Thieves robbed two pharmacies in Lubin. In both cases, the men used the same modus operandi. They entered together. While one of them distracted an employee, the others stole cosmetics.
When the duty officer at the Lubin police station was informed of the second theft, he circulated descriptions of the suspects to all patrols. Police officers spotted a young man matching the description. After a brief chase, he was arrested. As it turned out, he was indeed one of the perpetrators. He was taken into police custody.
Officers had been working on the case since Saturday, 17 October, when the first theft took place. They have already established the identities of the other men who took part in robbing the pharmacies. Efforts to arrest them are now under way.
The arrested man is a 19-year-old resident of Lubin. He faces up to five years in prison.
