The newly renovated building houses: Occupational Therapy Workshops, the 1st Community Self-Help Home, the Polish Red Cross (Bolesławiec branch), and the “My Razem” and “Przemiana” associations.
The building at 32 D al. Tysiąclecia underwent a major renovation aimed at replacing and repairing worn or damaged elements of the aging house and, above all, enabling the relocation of communities that had struggled with inadequate premises for years.
The renovation included, among other things, the replacement of window joinery and interior door joinery, the replacement of the roof covering and existing installations. A number of rooms were remodeled; the interior walls and ceilings were plastered, and floors were installed.
The Polish Red Cross is located on the second floor. As a result of the remodeling, 343.38 m² of usable space was created there. It consists of sleeping rooms—five rooms with 40 beds—an isolation room, toilets, bathrooms, a laundry room, a night-duty room, office and staff rooms, a kitchen, dining room and dishwashing room. The sanitary facilities are equipped with washbasins, showers and toilets.
The first floor has an area of 337.58 m². Seven workshops are located here: metalworking, carpentry, handicrafts, computer skills, home economics, gardening, sewing and art. The sanitary facilities are equipped with washbasins, showers and toilets.
Office rooms and a common room are also available. The ground floor contains rooms intended for addiction therapy, utility and staff rooms, as well as sanitary facilities.
The cost of remodeling the building amounted to PLN 1,244,888. The funds came from the city budget. Representatives of local governments, supporters and members of the “Przystań” Associations House community attended the opening.
