Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec organized a public debate with residents of Osiecznica Municipality. Participants included, among others, deputy county police commander in Bolesławiec, junior inspector Artur Krawczyk, deputy head of the Prevention Division of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, senior constable Paweł Klimek, commander of the Police Station in Nowogrodziec, superintendent Adam Frączek, and head of the Police Post in Osiecznica, staff constable Roman Boczek. The debate was also attended by Osiecznica Municipal head Waldemar Nalazek, councillors, residents, and representatives of local institutions and companies.

The aims of the debate included establishing closer cooperation, raising awareness of the scale of the threat, and developing joint methods of preventing thefts and burglaries at detached houses, garages and other facilities, as well as property damage.

The guests readily took the floor during the debate and discussed the problems they most often encounter. They called for more frequent patrols of sports fields, playgrounds and social housing buildings, as well as inspections of bus shelters, because acts of vandalism occur more often in these places in autumn.

The village head of Świętoszów reported the problem of excessive speed at which cars travel, identifying specific streets in the village, as well as the need to check the tonnage of heavy goods vehicles using the bridge. A representative of the Citizens’ Guard from Parowa pointed out the importance of cooperation and exchanging information between residents and the police in order to effectively prevent crime and build a sense of security in the place of residence.
