On October 5, 2015, officers from the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec received a report of the theft of 8 aluminum loading ramps from a truck. The police immediately began investigating the case and, just a few hours after the report was made, determined where the stolen items had been hidden.

During a search of the aforementioned property, they found the stolen ramps, worth nearly 40,000 zlotys. They also arrested a man suspected of handling stolen goods. He turned out to be a 22-year-old resident of Zgorzelec Municipality.

The identity of the perpetrator of the theft was also established. He turned out to be a 23-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County. The man has also committed other offenses. A month earlier, in Zgorzelec, he broke into a basement, from which he stole suitcases, clothing and chemical products, causing losses of nearly 2,000 zlotys. In May this year, at one of the terminals, he stole wheels together with rims from new vehicles being transported to one of the car dealerships in the country. This time, he caused losses of more than 9,000 zlotys.

The 23-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison, while the 22-year-old faces up to five years.
