Officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra identified and then detained a 25-year-old man with no permanent address, suspected of committing robberies.
According to the police findings, the suspect committed robberies in Jelenia Góra in September this year. He is suspected of at least five such crimes in total. In each case, he intimidated and beat the victims before robbing them. His loot consisted of mobile phones with a total value of more than PLN 2,000. Officers found one of them at a pawnshop in Jelenia Góra; they are still determining what happened to the others.
In addition, the 25-year-old was wanted by the police—he was due to serve a three-year prison sentence for previous robberies. The man was remanded in custody for three months. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
