Voting in LBO 2016 will be conducted electronically using any device with internet access. Votes may also be cast online at voting stations located throughout the city (the list of stations is provided below). They will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Voting will begin on October 1 at 8:00 a.m. and end on October 9 at 5:00 p.m.. It will continue around the clock.

Each voting station is marked with identical signs. They have computers with internet access and trained staff who can assist with voting if necessary. The voting system was tested over the past month.

Adults registered for permanent or temporary residence in Legnica as of September 24, 2015, are entitled to vote. Every adult resident of Legnica may vote for any project or projects selected from across the city. Everyone has 5 points at their disposal, which they may distribute freely among their chosen investments from all areas.

Multiple votes may be cast from one computer by entering the required personal details. Participation in the vote requires, among other things, providing one’s first and last name, residential address and PESEL number.

Each participant in the vote:

  • votes once
  • receives 5 points to allocate
  • may assign all 5 points to one project or distribute them among several selected projects
  • may distribute fewer points, which will not invalidate the vote
  • may choose a project (or projects) from any area of the city.

Voting will take place by completing an interactive ballot available during the voting period, from October 1 to 9, on the Legnica Civic Budget website www.lbo.legnica.eu (accessed via the banner). A link to the application (banner) will also be placed on www.legnica.eu.

The voting results will be published by October 23 this year. The list of recommended projects for the 2016 Legnica Civic Budget will serve as the basis for including the tasks in the draft budget resolution for 2016.

During voting from October 1 to 9, on working days from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Legnica Civic Budget Information Point will be open at the City Hall (pl. Słowiański 8, room 3, ground floor, tel. 76 72 12 177, email: lbo@legnica.eu).

Area 1 – Northern

  1. Construction of parking spaces and reconstruction of the sidewalk for residents of the apartment-block estate at ul. Bydgoska 24, 26, 28. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  2. “Adults for Children” – construction of a children’s playground at ul. Bydgoska. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  3. Reconstruction of the sidewalk at ul. Akacjowa. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.

Area 2 – Piekary 1

  1. “Playfully in Piekary.” Children’s playground in Piekary at the junction of ul. Jaskółcza and ul. Dąbrówki. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  2. Reconstruction of the road surface on ul. Szczygla. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  3. Construction of a pedestrian sidewalk along ul. Jaskółcza. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.

Area 3 – Piekary 2

  1. Expansion of the Park–Piekary recreational area at ul. Wierzyńskiego, ul. Gałczyńskiego and ul. Piłsudskiego, next to Primary School No. 20 in Legnica. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  2. A friendly crossing at ul. Brazylijska and ul. Peruwiańska. Estimated cost: PLN 75,000.
  3. Reconstruction of the basketball court at ul. Cichociemnych. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  4. Revitalization of the former public toilet site in the Piekary estate – ul. Wierzyńskiego. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  5. Reconstruction of the sidewalk and construction of parking spaces along the buildings at ul. Gałczyńskiego 24–34, plus construction of a sidewalk at ul. Gałczyńskiego 45 to connect it with the pedestrian path at ul. Piłsudskiego in Legnica. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  6. Construction of parking spaces with a sidewalk and cycle path along ul. Armii Krajowej, from ul. Bat. Zośka to ul. Okulickiego. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  7. Neighborhood Recreational and Sports Center – Piekary, in the area of ul. Baczyńskiego, ul. Pruszyńskiego and ul. Worcella. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  8. Reconstruction of the cycle path at ul. Piłsudskiego on the southern side
  9. (Piekary B). Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.

Area 4 – Kopernik

  1. Safe playground at Primary School No. 7 in Legnica. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  2. Star Arena – construction of seating with a roof and lighting for outdoor events at SDK Kopernik, in the area of ul. Galaktyczna, Oś Kartuska, Górnicza and Koziorożca. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
  3. Legnica’s first public disc golf course (expansion of sports infrastructure in Bielański Park). Estimated cost: PLN 26,000.

Area 5 – Zakaczawie

  1. Reconstruction of the internal road surface from ul. Drukarska to ul. St. Moniuszki in Legnica. Estimated cost: PLN 200,000.
