On the evening of 27 September this year, Zgorzelec police officers, conducting detection activities in Zgorzelec County, identified and detained the perpetrator of the theft of a Renault Megane, which was stolen on 18 September this year and abandoned four days later on one of the streets of Zgorzelec.
During the activities, officers also established that on 26 September this year the detained man had committed another offense—he stole power tools worth approximately PLN 4,300. The stolen property was recovered and handed over to its owner.
The 23-year-old faces up to five years in prison.
