Officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters arrested a Volkswagen driver after a chase. The man, driving along the A4 motorway, failed to stop for a roadside inspection. Travelling at 180 km/h, he ignored the lights and sirens ordering him to stop.

The traffic offender was arrested in Jawor County. He turned out to be a 44-year-old resident of Opole Voivodeship. What is more, he was drunk—his blood alcohol level was 2 per mille—and was also driving in violation of a court-imposed driving ban.

Officers from the Jawor District Police Headquarters have already charged the detainee with driving while intoxicated. He will also be held accountable for violating the court-imposed driving ban, failing to stop for inspection and a number of other offences. The court will now decide his further fate.
