An unusual incident occurred on the evening of September 9. The Lubin police duty officer received an emergency call. A frightened elderly woman was calling. She reported that for at least 30 minutes, a drunk man had been repeatedly buzzing the intercom to her apartment, demanding to be let inside.

The elderly woman did not open the door to the stairwell. Officers from the prevention department were dispatched to the scene. They detained the man, who was already inside the stairwell.

The officers established that the Lubin resident was so drunk that he was probably unable to find his way home. He stood in front of one of the stairwells, mistaking it for the entrance to his apartment building, and began repeatedly buzzing the intercom. When no one opened the door for him, he concluded that the residents did not want to let him into the building.

He then smashed the window and entered the building that way. Next, he headed toward the correct apartment number, but on a different street from the one where he actually lived.

He was detained by the officers. At the time of his arrest, he had more than 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
