Bolesławiec police detained eight boys aged 12 to 16. The minors vandalized monuments at the Cemetery of Soviet Army Soldiers in Bolesławiec.

In August this year, the boys tore plaques bearing the names of those killed during the Second World War from 350 graves. The 260 plaques that the perpetrators scattered around the cemetery were recovered.

The damage caused by the boys’ “game” is estimated at PLN 6,300. The Family Court will decide the boys’ fate.
