Police officers from Szklarska Poręba identified and detained a 26-year-old man suspected of thefts. From July to August this year, the detainee committed at least three thefts in Szklarska Poręba.
The man took advantage of an opportunity and stole property worth more than PLN 11,000 from open buildings. His haul included a laptop, four cash registers, suitcases, electrical installations, surveillance cameras and... aluminium and copper downpipes.
Officers recovered some of the stolen property. The 26-year-old sold the metal elements and installations at a scrap-metal collection point.
The suspect faces up to five years in prison.
