During the night of August 30–31, operational police officers from Zgorzelec spotted a young man on provincial road no. 352 who was dismantling safety barriers. The police immediately detained the man, who turned out to be a 33-year-old resident of Zgorzelec.
The man caused losses amounting to at least several hundred złoty. No one probably needs to be convinced of how tragic the consequences of missing safety barriers can be. The man was taken into police custody.
The 33-year-old faces up to 5 years in prison.
