Thanks to the Copper Museum, an additional film about the history of comics during the Polish People’s Republic will be screened at the rooftop cinema. The screening and a meeting with the director will take place next Friday, August 21, at approximately 10:40 p.m..
The scheduled film “Persepolis” will be screened first at the rooftop cinema (9:00 p.m.). It will be followed immediately by the screening of “At the Last Moment. The History of Polish Comics in the Polish People’s Republic.” The film runs for approximately 40 minutes. It features, among others, veterans of Polish comics: Janusz Christa, Papcio Chmiel, whose real name is Henryk Chmielewski, Bogusław Polch, Tadeusz Baronowski and Paweł Szarlota.
After the screening, there will be a meeting with the film’s creator, Mateusz Szlachtycz. He is, among other things, the director, screenwriter, cinematographer and the person who conducted the interviews in the film. Mateusz Szlachtycz will discuss how the film was made and answer questions from the audience.
