On Friday afternoon, residents of Bolesławiec witnessed a military oath ceremony. Almost one hundred young soldiers from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade pledged allegiance to their Homeland at Piłsudski Square. After the oath was taken, a drill and parade were presented. One of the military vehicles assigned to the local unit was also displayed.
The most capable soldiers were awarded Letters of Commendation. The unit commander congratulated the soldiers and thanked their families. To emphasize the importance of the event, the military fired three honorary volleys. City and county authorities, police representatives, officer corps members, and military representatives from the Czech Republic and Germany attended the ceremony.
