Police officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra detained a 26-year-old man who is suspected of committing at least eleven crimes in Jelenia Góra between May and July this year. These included burglaries and theft.
The man broke into and robbed several cellars. His haul included tyres, rims, wheels and power tools. The 26-year-old also broke into a car, a building and an apartment, as well as two garden huts, a garage and a caravan. He stole power tools, fishing rods, jewellery and money from them.
The Jelenia Góra resident also stole... five sewer manholes, which he sold at a scrap-metal collection point.
The victims’ total losses amounted to nearly PLN 30,000. The Jelenia Góra resident confessed to the crimes. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
