The nanowater produced in Bolesławiec was recently covered by the INNpoland.pl portal, funded, among others, by the National Centre for Research and Development. The article was full of superlatives and mainly featured statements by the company’s president, Zdzisław Oszczęda, a well-known Bolesławiec businessman. The article stated, among other things, that research at the Medical University of Białystok had confirmed the death of cancer cells and leukemia cells under the influence of nanowater.
The portal’s editorial team came under heavy fire. People wrote directly that the text about nanowater was nonsense and that its miraculous properties were not confirmed by any research.
INNportal took the situation seriously. In another article, it asked several scientists about Bolesławiec’s nanowater and the possibility of permanently “declustering” it, that is, breaking up its structure. This is supposedly what determines the water’s miraculous properties. The scientists supported… the readers. According to the researchers contacted, nanowater’s existence is improbable. They are also skeptical of such revelations. “If someone managed to permanently break up clusters, it would probably be a success worthy of publication in Nature, but it is simply impossible. Besides, it would no longer be water,” Dr Piotr Zarzycki of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Warsaw told the portal INNpoland.
Apparently, one professor came out in defense of nanowater. It is not known, however, who that was or whether the person exists at all, because the editorial team explains that the professor who supported it wished to remain anonymous.
Apart from Zdzisław Oszczęda, INNpoland also asked Bernard Łętowski, described as a company representative and known in Bolesławiec for photographing weddings and unsuccessfully running for a seat on the municipal council, about nanowater’s properties. Łętowski cites Dr Halina Car of the Medical University of Białystok, who conducted research on nanowater. According to him, in connection with nanowater she established cooperation with the scientific community in Tel Aviv.
The editorial team of the istotne.pl portal asked Dr Halina Car about the results of the nanowater research two years ago, because we wanted to check whether the revelations served up by the Bolesławiec company could be publicly verified. In March 2013, Dr Car wrote back that the results were being prepared for publication. Two years later, in February of this year, we asked again whether the publication was available. Unfortunately, we received no further response…
