I was stunned when, a month ago, I reached the documents at the Marshal’s Office. They concerned 2014 and the only Gliniada independently organised by Bogusław Nowak during the Ceramics Festival (all the others were organised by the Via Sudetica association).
As we know, Bogusław Nowak repeatedly said how much he contributed to Gliniada. In an interview with Bolec.Info in 2017, he stated that he had never earned a penny from Gliniada in Bolesławiec.
How much did you earn from Gliniada?
Not a penny from Gliniada in Bolesławiec. I always contributed a lot of money to it. I sometimes managed to earn some money on certain trips, but in reality I would usually put that money into Gliniada in Bolesławiec anyway.

Meanwhile, according to the contracts and invoices issued, Nowak earned... over PLN 28,000 in 2014 alone. And he earned it from Gliniada in Bolesławiec. The money went directly into his account.
When I read the details of the contract, I was dumbfounded. Nowak took over PLN 28,000 for... renting 50 square metres of land on Bankowa Street to the marshal for several hours. The voivodeship’s advertisements were placed on the grass by the monument and on the green square near the bank, while the advertising tent stood on the pavement.
The problem is that the city did not rent the land to Nowak, let alone grant him the right to rent out the property and profit from it. The city merely made the land available to Nowak to carry out an artistic project. There was no mention of advertisements for outside entities. According to the municipal office’s explanations, Nowak had no right to rent out the municipal land on Bankowa Street for money.
During the 2014 Ceramics Festival, BOK – MCC did not sell spaces on Bankowa Street. This part of the city, Bankowa and Kościelna streets, was used exclusively for the Friday parade opening the Ceramics Festival. At the request of Mr Bogusław Nowak (the letter is attached), permission was granted solely to organise Gliniada.

In 2014 (or any other year), the City Office (MiG Department) did not enter into any agreement with anyone other than BOK – MCC for making land available during the Ceramics Festival. Pursuant to Mayor’s Order No. 442/2015, the lease rate for commercial and service activity in Zone I is PLN 9.30/m². For short-term use of land for an advertising or commercial event, the rate is PLN 210 per day.
Agnieszka Gergont – spokesperson for the Bolesławiec City Office
We do not know whether the community at Bankowa 12 (the building houses a bank and private apartments) gave permission for the advertising balloon to be put up. Joanna Strzelecka from Civitas (the property manager) did not answer our question, although she promised she would reply.
I prepared this material carefully and asked Bogusław Nowak for comment. I received no response.
In total, in 2014 and 2015 Bogusław Nowak received PLN 65,000 gross from the Marshal’s Office (that is, from public funds) for organising Gliniada. In addition, in 2007–2013 the organisers of Gliniada received over PLN 48,000 from the County Office and the City Office. In 2016, the White Festival in Wrocław (which was a copy of Gliniada, in which Bogusław Nowak also participated) cost taxpayers over PLN 95,000, while approximately... 135 people actively took part in the festival.
I knew about the whole matter a month ago, but I did not want to write about it before Glina Show, so as not to add fuel to the fire. The hate directed at me, Grażyna Hanaf and the other people organising the Glina Show parade was so great that further attacks were unnecessary. It was truly upsetting to read online the hurtful opinions of people who took Nowak’s side and did not even want to hear our arguments. The Marczewskis’ online portal did not ask us a single question, even though press law requires due diligence and asking for the other side’s view. The Marczewskis published information from Nowak and his supporters indiscriminately, without batting an eye. They even composed some of the messages themselves.
Below I attach documents concerning Bogusław Nowak’s earnings from Gliniada in Bolesławiec alone. They tell the whole truth.
