President Piotr Roman invited the best students from Bolesławiec municipal schools to the gala. Vice President Kornel Filipowicz, Head of the Social Department Beata Sulska, representatives of the City Council, and the laureates’ principals, teachers and parents also attended the event.

– The panel had a difficult task because, out of the 350 submissions received, we wanted to select only one hundred candidates. We did not manage to… we are honoring 120 young people – said Piotr Roman, congratulating the talented students. – I am especially pleased that students come to the gala not only with their teachers, but also with their parents. Results at school are a consequence of how a child is cared for at home. I welcome all parents, grandmothers, grandfathers and extended family members. The guardians, teachers and coaches who work with the children are also extremely important, as are the principals who efficiently organize the work of the schools. I would especially like to thank the management and teachers of Municipal School Complex No. 3, the organizer of today’s gala. I would add that this year, when selecting the best students, we tightened the criteria and also considered how the students promote the city in Poland, the region and the voivodeship – the president added.
