Officers from the Criminal Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 16-year-old suspected of making a false bomb threat. They established that on 22 May this year, at around 9:45 a.m., the teenager called the office of the school he attended and reported that there was a bomb on the premises.
The school’s deputy head decided to evacuate the building. A total of 392 people—students, teachers and administrative staff—were evacuated. Police officers from the bomb disposal unit of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra searched the area and found no explosive device. It turned out to be a false alarm.
The officers began searching for the perpetrator. He turned out to be a 16-year-old student at the school. The teenager admitted his guilt and stated that it had only been a stupid joke. He will now answer for his actions before the family court.
