A tragic road accident occurred late Tuesday afternoon in Kruszyn, near the Non Stop roadside bar. A truck trailer hit a Volkswagen Golf. The passenger car driver died. The car had registration plates from Bolesławiec. It is known that the truck was traveling from the direction of Bolesławiec, while the passenger car was traveling in the opposite direction.
Residents of Kruszyn claim that the truck trailer blocked the lane in which the passenger car was traveling. The damaged side guard of the trailer is one indication of this. The passenger car was not wedged together with the truck.
The truck trailer probably skidded on the rain-slick road surface, or some kind of failure occurred. The road from Bolesławiec to Kruszyn was blocked for several hours.
