Outstanding athletes and multiple Paralympic Games medalists, Arkadiusz Jabłoński, Radosław Stańczuk and Grzegorz Pluta showed the students what wheelchair fencers’ bouts look like and also screened a film promoting other Paralympic disciplines.
The presenter warned against risky behavior that could lead to an accident resulting in loss of health or life, and showed a film illustrating such incidents. Two teams were selected from among the primary-school students and the middle-school students; they competed in fencing bouts in the same way as wheelchair users.
The students took part in the meetings, held under the slogan “Live actively. Think.”, with great interest. A second message of the meetings was expressed in the presenter’s words: “Judge people by who they are, not by how they look.”
