In addition to officers from Zgorzelec, firefighters from Legnica, Bolesławiec, Lubań and Görlitz also participated in the operation. These were exercises to test the district rescue plan. Injured people were evacuated from a public-use facility, a fire was extinguished and initial decontamination was carried out.
The operation used high-angle rescue equipment, including aerial platforms, ladders and rescue cushions (for evacuating people from the roof).
Moreover, a demonstration was also held that day featuring equipment recently acquired by the State Fire Service District Headquarters in Zgorzelec.
