The outage occurred after 2:00 p.m. Throughout Bolesławiec County, telephones and the Internet stopped working. The main fiber-optic cable carrying data from Jelenia Góra to Bolesławiec was damaged. “The cable was cut in Jelenia Góra by one of the companies working on the construction of the sewer system. I hope the outage will be resolved quickly and that Bolesławiec residents will be able to use their telephones,” Grzegorz Koźmiński of Dialog’s Communications Department told Boleslawiec.org.
An appropriate repair crew is already at the site of the outage in Jelenia Góra. The outage should be resolved by the evening, or by Friday morning at the latest.

The telephones began working at around 10:00 p.m. The disruption to the system lasted just under 8 hours.
