The arrest took place in January this year. A blood test unequivocally showed that the 19-year-old driver was under the influence of drugs at the time. The man was summoned to the police headquarters so that charges could be brought against him.
Despite being summoned three times, the driver failed to appear at the police station. The prosecutor issued an order for his arrest and compulsory transport to the police headquarters. The 19-year-old was arrested at his place of residence on Tuesday evening and placed in police custody.
On Wednesday morning, after the necessary procedures had been completed, the detainee voluntarily submitted to a sentence of six months’ imprisonment, suspended for three years. The man was also banned from driving motor vehicles for three years and ordered to pay the costs of the proceedings.
Straight from the police headquarters, the 19-year-old went to... school, where he was taking his high school leaving examination that day.
