The girls’ team from II LO, consisting of: Aleksandra Byszkowska, Alicja Sobolska, Natalia Mojsa and Karolina Mielnik, took part in 4 x 50 m swimming relays.
“I am pleased with the entire team,” teacher Krzysztof Malina said, praising the girls. “The girls did a great job because we competed against students from schools with their own pools, such as those in Jelenia Góra and Kamienna Góra. Karolina, who won first place individually, began the competition with the 50 m butterfly, and immediately afterwards she was scheduled to swim the individual medley. I told her that if she considered it too difficult, she could withdraw from one of the events. I asked her to assess her strength. Karolina did not give up, however; she has tremendous determination and won,” the teacher said proudly of the swimmer.
The girls continue to pursue their passion for swimming, which they developed in previous years, but swimming is not their only interest. Natalia Mojsa also successfully participates in chess competitions. At the District Team Chess Championships in the category for upper-secondary schools, the II LO team won the district championship. Besides Natalia, the team included: Mikołaj Ziętek, Jakub Feret and Bartosz Pachom. They are also Krzysztof Malina’s students.
