This school year, middle-school graduates were able to apply for admission to three selected secondary schools. This was decided by the Ministry of Education in a special regulation. Middle-school students do not have to worry that, if they are not admitted to a particular school, they will not have enough time to submit their documents to another one. However, what was intended to eliminate students’ stress has made school principals nervous. It happens that middle-school graduates are admitted to as many as three schools at once. In such a case, they should immediately notify the other two schools that they will not be studying there. This will allow principals to determine precisely how many places are still available in the individual first-year classes.
Students who were not admitted to any of their selected schools do not have to worry that they will be unable to continue their education. The second, additional recruitment stage is already underway. It will last until 31 August. Places are available in technical schools, general secondary schools and vocational schools.
