At the beginning of the gathering, the commander of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, Colonel Paweł Świtalski, extended Easter greetings to the soldiers and visiting guests. The participants also received greetings from the Bolesławiec County Governor Dariusz Kwaśniewski and Bolesławiec Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz, who spoke warmly about the artillerymen’s activities in the local community and their successful cooperation.

The regiment’s chaplain, Captain Tomasz Koczy, spoke briefly about the significance of the most important event in the liturgical year: the celebration of the Paschal Mystery—the Passion, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. He said a prayer and extended Easter greetings to everyone present and their families. “May this Easter be a great symbol of the renewal of faith and life for us all,” said the artillerymen’s chaplain.

After the prayer, Reverend Prelate Colonel (ret.) Wojciech Mroszczak blessed the dishes served at the soldiers’ Easter table. As usual, the Easter dishes prepared by the logistics battalion’s cooks delighted all the participants.

A symbolic moment of the meal was the regiment commander’s presentation of Easter baskets and greetings addressed to the soldiers and civilian personnel of the 23rd Artillery Regiment to representatives of the military community and civilian employees. During the gathering, the participants also had an opportunity to read the Easter greetings sent to the Bolesławiec artillerymen.
