Windstorm in Legnica Caused No Major Damage

Fortunately, the strong, gusty wind that made life difficult for Legnica residents did not cause serious damage. On the afternoon and night of March 31, it felled several trees, tore off branches, damaged a bus shelter, ripped down advertisements and knocked over road signs.

Legnica firefighters intervened more than 20 times in the region over the past 24 hours. The windstorm felled trees, including on Bydgoska, Pątnowska and Lotnicza streets and in the Municipal Park. On Wrocławska Street, a strong gust of wind tore the roof off a bus shelter. Elsewhere, it damaged balcony roofing and advertisements. April 1 should be calmer.
