At Sunday’s ceremony marking the 60th anniversary of the operation of the Volunteer Fire Service in Gierałtów, authorities from Bolesławiec County were in attendance. “I would like to express my recognition and respect for all the firefighters who put their lives at risk every day in a service full of hardship and dedication,” Bolesławiec County Head Krzysztof Konopka said at the ceremony. Outstanding firefighters were recognized during the event. OSP Gierałtów was established in 1946. Since then, volunteer firefighters have supported the operations of the State Fire Service.
