Police officers from the Criminal Division of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra detained a man suspected of theft. He is a 46-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra.
According to investigators, the incident occurred last weekend in one of the apartments in Jelenia Góra. The owner invited friends over for a party.
The 46-year-old took advantage of the fact that his acquaintance was distracted and stole a wallet left on the table. The thief's loot included an identity card, payment card and... PLN 50.
The detained man admitted to the theft. He stated that he burned the identity card and payment card in a stove. He now faces up to five years in prison.
