The project submitted to the competition by the Municipality of Bolesławiec, entitled “Safe Bolesławiec,” received approval and was selected for funding from the special-purpose reserve secured in the state budget. The project was created by the Bolesławiec Municipal Police, which is also the main coordinator of the activities included in it.

The main objective of the project is to implement a range of programmes and activities, such as information campaigns, competitions and talks, which will result in a significant reduction in the number of crimes and offences. The project involves the Municipality of Bolesławiec promoting safe behaviour among the local community, with particular emphasis on the broadly understood safety of children and young people.

As part of the Safe Bolesławiec project, the following activities are planned, among others, for 2015:

  • Organisation and running of the “Safer With Us 2015” competition dedicated to pupils in Years 4–6 of primary schools
  • Organisation and running of the “7th Safe Little One Olympics” – a sporting event aimed at five-year-old preschoolers
  • Organisation and running of the art competition entitled “Substances?! No, thank you!” intended for pupils in Years 4–6 of primary schools
  • Preventive activities במסגרת the “Safe Route to School – throughout the school year” programme
  • Support activities במסגרת the “Yellow Card” preventive programme
  • Activities במסגרת the “Bicycle Week” programme.

The requested grant for the project amounts to PLN 50,000.
