“When the king has a toothache, nothing can make him happy anymore…” Such words can herald only a true catastrophe in any kingdom. This time, they heralded great fun for the audience gathered at the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec.

The idea and initiative came from the “Wspólna Radość” Association. The project was intended to integrate communities of people with disabilities; therefore, the invitation to the performance was extended primarily to participants of the Occupational Therapy Workshops in Bolesławiec, participants of the Second Community Self-Help Home, a group of young children from an integrated preschool, and, of course, students of the Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych in Bolesławiec.

Several months of preparations for the performance resulted in a standing ovation. The following performers bravely rose to the heights of acting with enormous dedication: Anna Mocydlarz- Popielarz, Monika Piotrowska, Katarzyna Strzelczyk, Jolanta Król, Bogusława Filip, Monika Opała, Ewa Moskaluk, Ada Kotowicz, Kornelia Kaszuba-Razik, Maria Wołoszyn, as well as Dariusz Rutkowski, Roman Kraus, Mariusz Stefan and Robert Klimek. Michał Budziński created an unforgettable acting performance in the title role. The play was directed by Iwona Banasiak.

During the preparations, the idea arose for the amateur theatre to adopt the name KLOPS-KLAPS. The value of the production was undoubtedly enhanced by the venue—the Old Theatre, which was also made available for rehearsals—as well as the set design and sound and visual effects. All this became possible thanks to the kindness of the director of the Youth Cultural Centre, Marek Łętowski, and the invaluable assistance of the theatre staff.
The performance was honoured by the presence of: Marek Łętowski, director of the Youth Cultural Centre in Bolesławiec; Maciej Pronkiewicz, deputy director of the Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych; Anna Bowszyc, deputy director of the II Liceum Ogólnokształcącego; Ewa Tryka, representative of the Department of Education and Promotion of the District; Major Robert Lisiak of the 23rd Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec; and journalists from Azart-Sat television.
