According to the local community, 20 village heads will continue to hold their positions, while new representatives will take up the role in 9 village districts. The elections of village heads and members of Village Council Boards in Bolesławiec municipality lasted a total of 3 days, with residents making the decisions.

First, they selected an electoral commission, which conducted the elections and supervised their proper course. The village residents then submitted their candidacies for the position of village head. When a person agreed to stand as a candidate, the candidate’s name was entered on the ballot papers. After the list was closed, the commission prepared the ballots, and voters made their choices in a secret ballot.

After the results were announced, residents decided on the number of members of the Village Council Boards, which could range from 3 to 5 people. In the same way as in the election of the village head, they submitted their candidacies and then voted by secret ballot.

The position of village head carries considerable responsibility. The village head represents the village district in the municipality and ensures that residents’ demands are reflected in the draft municipal budget and its development plan. A good village head must also be an efficient organizer who can inspire local community activity and motivate residents to act for the benefit of their locality. We are convinced that the residents chose their representatives well.

We congratulate all the village heads and members of the Village Council Boards on their election victories and wish them satisfaction in their work.
