The silver medal in the shot put was won by Dominik Stec (14.28 m). The athlete coached by Małgorzata Markowska and last year’s Polish champion in the 2000 m steeplechase, Wojciech Karaban, comfortably won the 1000 m race in his age category (2:37.55 min). Silver medals were also won by athletes from the same group: Karolina Wolska in the 600 m (1:46.62 min) and Tobiasz Burzyński in the 1000 m (2:47.83 min).

The athlete coached by Ryszard Posacki Maciej Buciak ran brilliantly, causing a huge surprise already in the heats by completing the 60 m and setting a new personal best (7.10 s). In the final, Maciek “shaved” a further two hundredths of a second off his time and won the silver medal, qualifying for the Polish Indoor Junior Championships, which will be held this weekend in Toruń.

– I didn’t expect such a result at the start of the season. I felt wonderful running today. I feel I can improve today’s result at the Polish Championships and perform well in the final – Maciej Buciak commented.
