The distinguished jubilarian celebrated her special day surrounded by family. Bolesławiec Mayor Helena Janiak was visited by Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman, who presented the birthday celebrant with a bouquet of flowers, a gift and a letter of congratulations. Everyone gathered wished the woman from Bolesławiec good health and peace in the coming years of her life.
Helena Janiak comes from the village of Zbójno and was born on February 11, 1908. In the 1950s, she settled in Bolesławiec. Her relatives emphasize her diligence, great kindness and cheerful disposition.
In her free time, Mrs. Helena tended her garden. The jubilarian is cared for by her granddaughter and her husband—the Kamińskis. The woman from Bolesławiec is currently awaiting the arrival of... a great-great-grandchild.
Among the residents of Bolesławiec, there is another woman who was born in 1908; two women were born five years later and celebrated their 100th birthdays two years ago. The oldest resident of our city was born in 1915.
