“Bram the Mischievous” is the Dutch children’s film of the year, also greatly enjoyed by audiences at the Kino Dzieci festival. Bram asks 100 questions a minute, and his legs—as he puts it—are there to run. This leads to many funny situations, but also gets Bram into trouble…
This is another family title being distributed by Stowarzyszenie Nowe Horyzonty as part of the “Dzieciaki na horyzoncie” campaign. Its aim is to showcase good, original films for the youngest viewers and encourage families to go to the cinema together. It is an opportunity to watch productions that have achieved success in Europe and successfully compete with Disney blockbusters. They tell stories about the world around us, children’s dreams and the challenges faced by busy parents. They show the friction between the adult and children’s worlds and draw attention to how different the sensitivity and perception of children and adults can be. Above all, they remind us that the best ways to find intergenerational understanding are talking, playing and laughing together.
