The incident occurred on Wednesday (11 February) at the intersection of Dolne Młyny and Wróblewskiego streets, near the viaduct. At around 11:30 a.m., the driver of a Volkswagen failed to yield the right of way and collided with an Opel. According to police findings, the Volkswagen driver, a 65-year-old resident of Bolesławiec, was travelling along Dolne Młyny Street from the viaduct and attempted to cross the intersection. The Opel was driven by a 47-year-old woman from Chojnów. She was travelling along Wróblewskiego Street (the bypass) towards the viaduct. As a result of the collision, the Opel’s passenger was taken to hospital. Both drivers were sober.
