On Friday afternoon, police detained the driver of a Ford Sierra. The man drove into a tree on Murarska Street. The 35-year-old was drunk. His body was found to contain 2.8 per mille of alcohol.
On the night from Friday to Saturday, a Mercedes truck collided head-on with a DAF truck on II Armii Wojska Polskiego Street. The Mercedes driver crossed into the opposite lane. The Mercedes driver died at the scene, and two other people were injured. The collision between the two heavy trucks caused the Bolesławiec–Zgorzelec route to be blocked for many hours. The causes of the accident are not yet known. It is only known that the DAF truck driver was sober.
On Saturday, police officers detained four men in a forest near Krępnica who had set up a shooting session, firing a rifle at cans and plastic bottles. A KBKS rifle with a scope and 245 rounds of ammunition were found in their possession. At one of the men’s homes, police officers found a Umarex gas revolver, along with 10 rounds of gas ammunition and four live rounds. It is already known that none of the detained men had a permit to possess firearms. It is not known where the men got the weapons. The four detainees face up to eight years in prison.
On the night from Saturday to Sunday, police intervened in the park on Garncarska Street. During a bonfire gathering, a fight broke out involving eight people. Police arrested those responsible for the disturbance, including a 21-year-old man who wounded another man with a knife. The following night, police detained a drunk 31-year-old man. The man damaged a car on Starzyńskiego Street.
