For two days, the village of Ocice became the capital of traditional ploughing. The 3rd National Horse-Drawn Ploughing Tournament was held there last weekend. In single-horse ploughing (a plough pulled by one horse), Jan Kawałko won ahead of Andrzej Pasternak. In two-horse ploughing (a plough pulled by two horses), Andzej Lipowy proved unbeatable. Axel Geide took second place, while Piotr Bachór finished third.

In addition to the horse-drawn ploughing tournament, the organizers prepared many other attractions. There were horse races with obstacles and bareback races. Equestrian skill competitions were also held, along with a small-horse race and show-jumping competitions. Agnieszka Grala won the equestrian skill competition. Katarzyna Laskowska was the fastest in the obstacle race. Sławomir Andruchów proved unbeatable in the bareback race, while Kamila Kisielewska won the small-horse race. Kamila Laskowska won the show-jumping competition.

The 3rd National Horse-Drawn Ploughing Tournament took place on the grounds adjacent to the primary school sports field in Ocice. The show-jumping competitions were held on the sports field itself. Food stalls were set up around the field. The event organizers deserve praise not only for the event’s rich and attractive program, but also for making sensible use of the area. What the organizers prepared, combined with the sunny weather and the picturesque view of the surrounding fields, meant that people could both have fun and relax.

The 3rd National Horse-Drawn Ploughing Tournament was organized by the Gminny Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji w Bolesławcu z siedzibą w Kruszynie. Boleslawiec.org served as the event’s media patron.
