The headmaster of II LO is using the break from classes to carry out necessary renovations. The corridor, which is being refurbished, had long required insulation and painting. Work is also underway to renovate the room intended for the School Memory Chamber.
“As you can see, we are not resting during the school break; after their time off, the students will return to an even better-kept building,” says Mirosław Sakowski. “We also want to prepare as well as possible for the anniversary celebrations, which will take place on April 11. It will be a carefully planned, special event, and I would already like to invite all graduates,” the headmaster adds.
The Second General Secondary School continues the traditions of the Teacher Training Secondary School and the Secondary School for Preschool Educators, which began operating in 1964. Over the years, the school underwent reorganizations, successively becoming the six-year Preschool Education College (1973–1984), the six-year Teacher Training College (1984–1993), II General Secondary School (1991), and Teacher Training College (1992–1996). From 1978 to 1990, the College, together with Primary School No. 6 and Kindergarten No. 10, operated as the Educational Institutions Complex, which was named after Janusz Korczak in 1983. After the Teacher Training College and Teacher Training College ceased operating, II General Secondary School named after Janusz Korczak became the institution continuing the school’s work.
Become a Friend of the School
In connection with the organization of the anniversary, the administration of II General Secondary School asks you to consider providing financial assistance to support the event. The organizers will appreciate every initiative, even the smallest one. In return for the support provided, they can offer to place the sponsor’s company name in:
- a certificate of thanks
- an entry on the school website under the title “Friend of the School”
- a thank-you message delivered during the ceremony
The organizers also offer the possibility of using the company logo in anniversary materials with the title “sponsor,” as well as publicity in local media and online portals.
II LO is contributing its own funds to the event, but because a large number of participants are expected, the school is counting on sponsors’ assistance, believing that this will provide them with excellent advertising and promotion.
The school will use the grant for:
- the publication of anniversary brochures and a monograph
- printing invitations and diplomas
- organizing anniversary exhibitions
The school will use any surplus to purchase the equipment most needed by the secondary school.
